April Meeting

APRIL 2018 MEETING NOTICE –

Time:              5:15 PM – Check-in

5:30 PM – Dinner and Networking

6:00 PM – Program

Program:      Revenue Recognition and Leases Accounting Standards

(qualifies for 1 hour of CPE – Accounting)

Cost:               $20 – Members, spouses and first-time visitors

$25 – Non-members (after first visit)

$10 – Full-time students

$10 – Program only (no meal)

Reservations and cancellations for dinner should be made no later than 12:00 PM on Monday, Apr 23.  Reply to your Evite invitation or contact Jackie Cole at 256-837-8004 ext. 122 or send an email to jcole@dese.com.  The Treasurer will bill for reservations made but not honored.

This is a joint meeting with Institute of Internal Auditors.

Time: 11:15 AM – Check-in
11:30 AM – Lunch and Networking
12:00 PM – Program

Christmas Party on Dec. 15

Our Christmas dinner will be held on December 15th in lieu of our regular meeting. Jacque Bernard was kind
enough to book a room at her church, Grace Presbyterian Church. The church is located at 5555 Wall Triana
Hwy, Madison, AL 35758. Our dinner will be catered with a cost of $20 per person. The musical talents of
Jacque and Carl will be our entertainment, so you certainly do not want to miss the event. Also, we will be
having a cookie swap. If you would like to participate, then please bring cookies enough to share with others
(preferably individual snack bags of three to four cookies per bag). Please respond to the Evite as soon as you
receive it so we can let the caterer know how many will be attending and you will have a better idea of how
many cookies to bake. We hope to see you there!

The meeting will be Tuesday, September 22, at 11:30 am at the Women’s Business Center of North Alabama (WBCNA) located at 515 Sparkman Drive in Huntsville. The topic will be “Accounting-Fraud” presented by Special Agent Laura L. Baddley.

Reservations must be made with Florence Royer no later than noon on Friday, September 18. We hope to see you there!

Our June meeting will be Tuesday, June 16, at 5:30 at Terranova’s Italian Restaurant. Our officers for 2015-2016 will be installed. Please attend and show your support for them as they make plans to lead our chapter in the coming year.
